"Business News" — The Chamber Newsletter

The Chamber's "Business News" newsletter is your source for information about issues that affect the business community, as well as information about Chamber of Commerce events, news and positions. Business News is published 12 times a year.

Members of the Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce can send press releases and announcements for publication in the newsletter's "In and around Pleasant Hill" column. Submissions are due by the 20th of the month (in electronic format) prior to publication. We print as much Chamber member news as space allows. Please email releases to us at info@PleasantHillChamber.com — paste the copy for the release in the body of the email. Advertising opportunities are also available in Business News. The newsletter is distributed to multiple contacts within each of the Chamber's 450+ member businesses, as well as potential relocators to Pleasant Hill and visitors to the Chamber offices. The Chamber membership consists of both small and large businesses across a range of industries. Your ad will reach readers (and decisionmakers) in the top echelon of the Pleasant Hill business community.

Hot Sheet Inserts & Business Card Ads

Member businesses are encouraged to reach their fellow business customers through hot sheets inserted into the monthly Chamber newsletters. For $70, more than 450 businesses and individuals will see your message in this well-read newsletter. Don't need an insert? Try a little less space and purchase a business card size ad for $40. As more and more people look to the Chamber's website to get pertinent information about the City of Pleasant Hill, California and its resources, purchasing a banner ad can be a smart part of your marketing mix. Discount Cards

An economical way to bring more business in your doors, is participating in the Chamber's discount card program for members only. Marketing gurus know that making an offer to your prospects is one of the best ways to attract business and get word-of-mouth referrals. The discount card was created with that in mind, plus reducing costs for other Chamber members, of course!

Partnership in Education

For those members who target younger consumers, the Chamber is proud to co-sponsor the Partnership in Education Program, which rewards good scholarship all around Pleasant Hill. Participating businesses agree to provide a free or discounted service or product to Pleasant Hill students who have performed in the classroom. Successful students are awarded a passport which they may use once in a given reporting period. Businesses enjoy encouraging students in the community and reap the rewards of referrals and appreciative parents.

Sponsorships

Need some high visibility for your business, or just want to demonstrate your support for the Pleasant Hill community? The Chamber provides its members with exclusive opportunities to advertise in its popular Art, Jazz & Wine Fest in October and Casino Night in August. Chamber members also are made of other premier sponsorship activities in and around Pleasant Hill, such as the Summer Concert Series by the Lake, golf tournaments and other events.

Business Showcase

Members are invited to showcase their businesses at the Chamber's well-attended annual Business Showcase. Typically attracting more than 600 people in a three-hour time period, participants have an opportunity to make new contacts, answer questions about their business and hand out literature. .

Health & Wellness Fair

Members who sell or market health products or services are invited to showcase their businesses at the Chamber's newly-expanded Health & Wellness Fair. The fair is geared toward families, kids, seniors, boomers and designed to promote healthy living in Pleasant Hill. Exhibitors have an opportunity to be a part of building a healthy community and raising awareness or reinforcing relationships to East Bay consumers. .

Ribbon-Cuttings and Receptions

New businesses appreciate the recognition that comes with Chamber-organized ribbon cuttings. We bring city officials, board officials and other Chamber members to help you celebrate the opening or relocation of your business. We include photos and a feature on your business in the monthly Chamber publication, Business News. This is a free service to Chamber members. You also may choose to host a reception for your guests, providing tours and refreshments.

Mixers and Receptions

Many businesses choose to introduce their business to as many as 400-plus Chamber members by hosting an evening mixer. What better way to get area business people and local officials to visit your business and experience your hospitality. This marketing opportunity is open to members only. Mailing lists and Referrals

Members can purchase mailing labels to directly access to all Pleasant Hill Chamber members. The Chamber receives lots of requests and recommendations for service and products in Pleasant Hill. We refer ONLY our chamber members to these newcomers, visitors and area residents.
