For this week’s #MemberMonday I wanted to highlight and take a look at what it means to be a Member of the #PleasantHillChamberofCommerce. The Chamber #Membership offers a multitude of benefits and resources to help grow your business. Always remember that, “Your Business is our Business.” 

Member Portal

When you sign up to become a Member of the Chamber you are given a password to log into the Member Portal and build your business and Membership profile. Here you can communicate with fellow Members and begin to build your online presence. The Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce is a busy highway of traffic, so make sure you complete your profile to make the most of your search engine optimization (SEO). Many Members have reported attracting solid business leads through the Chamber website. If you are unsure how to build your profile or would like assistance, sign up for the ongoing Membership 101 small group session held at the Chamber each month. This small group (3) hands on training is offered the 3rd Tuesday of each month to teach, assist and explore ways to utilize your Membership benefits. Sign up for the next one here. 

Chamber Calendar

Did you know you can post an event or a job listing to our Chamber calendar? If you are looking to add to your team, feel free to use the online job posting to find your next great team Member. Having an event and want to get more exposure? Post your event on our Chamber calendar and connect with a broader audience. All these things are done through your Member Portal. 

Here are just a few more ways to take advantage of your Chamber Membership:

• Business Exposure - Chamber Membership expands your network of customers and suppliers by providing you with outstanding networking, involvement and advertising opportunities. We have 4 on-going monthly opportunities to network with Members and guests. Our Morning Mixer (2nd Tuesday of each month from 8-9 a.m.) Business mixer (2nd Thursday of each month from 5-7 p.m.) Young professionals Networking Group (3rd Thursday of each month from 5:30-7 p.m.) And our 680 Networking Group (2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month  from 8:30-10:00 a.m.)

• Credibility - Numerous consumer surveys have shown that customer perceptions are enhanced by Chamber of Commerce Membership.

• Business Referrals - Our Chamber staff answers hundreds of inquiries each year for referrals of products and services. We not only give them names and contacts of our Members but we send them a direct link to our online directory. We have a duplicate hard copy of the online directory in the office in a binder (complete with business cards) for those that drop by for referrals.

• Governmental Affairs - The Pleasant Hill Chamber ensures that the business community has a strong voice at all levels of government by sharing the concerns of our employers with our elected officials. (held the last Monday of each month from 4:30-6 p.m.)

• Community Development - We promote our community to potential businesses and residents who become your customers, clients, and workforce. We support and participate in many of the annual events our community holds.

• Lunch and Learn - We sponsor a quarterly Lunch and Learn (L&L) to provide relevant information to help you grow and sustain your business. As part of your Membership you can come have lunch, network with fellow Members and guests and learn a new topic or brush up on an old one.  Watch for the next one coming up in November.

• Member Mondays - Do you want to be featured in the next Member Monday series? Reach out to the Membership Manager, Ann Mimiaga at ann@pleasanthillchamber.com to schedule your interview. This feature is set up to continue our mission to grow your business. It’s has been very enjoyable to get to know our Members on a personal level while learning more about your business and how best to refer to you. 

• Weekly Eblast - Are you receiving our weekly eblast sent out every Wednesday at noon? If not go add your name to our mailing list, found on our home page of the website. Keep up to date with not only Chamber events but community events as well. Our weekly eblast goes out to  nearly three thousand readers with a 25-35% open rate. You could be reaching a whole new audience with the advertising we offer on our eblast. All of the photos are links to the events. Click away!
