    YOUTH HOMES, INC. ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF CEO CANDY ESPINO
     
    PLEASANT HILL, CA, August 1, 2019 -- Youth Homes, Inc., a non-profit organization committed to providing services for youth impacted by trauma, struggling with complex mental health and behavior challenges, announced today that CEO Candy Espino has resigned for family reasons, effective September 12, 2019.
     
    Youth Homes’ Board of Directors announced that a committee has been formed to conduct the search for Ms. Espino's successor. A Transition Committee was also announced which will support the organization’s day-to-day activities during the transition.
     
    "The Board is thankful for Candy's extraordinary leadership, change management, and vision, during her time with Youth Homes. We support her decision to step down for family reasons and are grateful for her many accomplishments as our CEO. We will miss Candy and wish her and family the very best," said Alan Bonny, Board President. He went on to say, "I am confident that through our strong and committed executive leadership team, staff, and with support from the Search and Transition Committees, Youth Homes will continue the transformational journey initiated by Candy towards Youth Homes' success, both short-term and long-term."
     
    Ms. Espino said, "This has been an exceptionally difficult decision to make. My time with Youth Homes has been inspiring, educational and rewarding, as we have helped so many young people heal from trauma and abuse, while empowering them to lead meaningful lives." She added, "Through the amazing work of the Youth Homes staff, we have made lasting changes that will continue growth in positive outcomes for our youth. Youth Homes is strong and with our industry leading knowledge, committed staff, engaged Board, and dedicated donors, Youth Homes will continue to thrive."
